Weapon Use (武器使) was originally Mega Man's standard special move in Super Smash Flash 2. As of Beta, Weapon Change has been replaced by Water Wave, thus taking this move along with it. Mega Buster is now Mega Man's standard special move instead.
When performed, Mega Man would use one of the five weapons chosen via Weapon Change: Mega Buster, Super Arm, Crash Bomb, Black Hole Bomb, or Wheel Cutter. He would start the match with the Mega Buster by default.
|Mega Buster||Blue||Mega Man's main weapon. Can be charged while walking and jumping.|
|Super Arm||Brown||Mega Man throws a block in an arc.|
|Crash Bomb||Orange||Mega Man shoots a bomb that attaches to enemies and surfaces. Can be detonated manually.|
|Black Hole Bomb||Purple||Mega Man creates a black hole that pulls in nearby opponents.|
|Wheel Cutter||Gray||Mega Man releases a spinning blade that follows the contours of any surface.|
In the Mega Man games, Mega Man can copy the special weapons of the Robot Masters he has defeated, with each move having unique properties and abilities. The weapons used in SSF2 all hail from different games: Super Arm from Mega Man, Crash Bomber from Mega Man 2, Black Hole Bomb from Mega Man 9 and Wheel Cutter from Mega Man 10. Mega Buster is Mega Man's signature move and is present in all games.
Mega Man briefly changes his color scheme depending on the weapon he is using, much like in his home series where his armor would also change color to match the special weapon in use.
- In v0.5b of the SSF2 Demo, Mega Man was able to use Rolling Cutter as one of the weapon choices. The move was replaced with Super Arm in the following version.
- Prior to v0.8, Mega Man's armor would not change color when using one of the weapons, instead always remaining blue.
- According to the first sprite sheet made, only Mega Buster was planned to be Mega Man's standard special move, but more weapons were added before he was coded into Super Smash Flash 2.
