- This article is about Mega Man's old down special move. For Mega Man's old neutral special move, see Weapon Use.
Weapon Change (武器替), formerly called Weapon Switch, was originally Mega Man's down special move in Super Smash Flash 2 prior to Beta, where it has been replaced by Water Wave.
Overview[]
When performed, Mega Man would do a faint warp animation and four colored silhouettes of Mega Man would appear around him. By pressing a directional key and letting go of the special button, the player could choose one of five moves to be assigned to his neutral special move, Weapon Use. At the beginning of every match, Mega Man would start with Mega Buster as the default weapon.
While Mega Man performed the move, he would stop in place, even in the air, negating any momentum he had. After approximately two seconds, the weapon would be selected automatically depending on which direction is being held.

Trivia[]
- Prior to v0.8a of the SSF2 Demo, Mega Man did not have the option to choose which weapon to change to; instead, he would simply cycle between Mega Buster, Super Arm, Crash Bomb, Black Hole Bomb, and Wheel Cutter, and then back to Mega Buster.
- The selection is similar to Shulk's Monado Arts in the official games, as both involve bringing up a menu to select a mode to use.
