Wario Bomb (ワリオボム) was Wario-Man's neutral special move in Super Smash Flash 2 until Beta 1.2, when it got replaced by Chomp.

Overview[]

When performed, Wario-Man pulls out a small, round purple bomb with his mustache, nose and smile, and then throws it in front of him while yelling "Hurry up!". The bomb will then slowly travel diagonally downwards, exploding when it hits a floor, a wall, or an opponent, or simply when it leaves the stage's boundaries. The explosion deals 13% flame damage and a fairly high amount of knockback to opponents hit.

Origin[]

Artwork of the Wario Bomb as it appears in the WarioWare series.

The Wario Bomb is a long-time staple of the WarioWare series, serving as the logo for both the games and Wario's software Company, WarioWare, Inc. In the WarioWare games since WarioWare: Touched!, it is also used as a timer to show how much time is left to complete the current microgame. The fuse on the bomb is lit and slowly burns out. When the lit fuse reaches the bomb, the bomb will explode and the microgame is over. The fuse typically takes 4 seconds to burst, but certain microgames that require more examination or articulation have an extended time, up to 8 seconds.

In WarioWare: Touched!, a bomb also appears in the character select screen when Wario is present as Wario-Man. If the player feeds the bomb to Wario-Man, he turns back into Wario.
