Stunning Slash was originally Ichigo's down special move in Super Smash Flash 2 until v0.2a of the SSF2 Demo, where it was replaced with Gazan.
Overview[]
When performed, Ichigo would slash with Zangetsu from in front of him to behind him. Opponents hit by the slash would be dealt 3% damage, and they would be stunned for a short period of time. Using this attack in the air would also slow his descent. After using the move, Ichigo would be unable to use any attack again for a few moments, though he could still move freely.
Despite this, the move could also be used as an infinite; the time it would take Ichigo to recover from this move was shorter than the time it would take his opponent to recover from being stunned, so the player could repeatedly use this move on an opponent with minimum effort or consequence while racking up easy damage on them.
Trivia[]
- Stunning Slash used the same sprites as Ichigo's forward aerial and the second hit of his neutral attack at that time.
