- Not to be confused with a combo, a sequence of attacks that doesn't leaves hitstun.
A string is a sequence of attacks that lead into another, but the opponent leaves hitstun between them. Like combos, strings are not necessarily guaranteed however - many factors play into their effectiveness, such as DI, SDI, teching, damage, weight, and timing of the attacks. Most of the time, strings can only be successful when the opponent is not paying attention to the game, due to the hitstun between it, that makes it very possible to escape.
The difference of juggle and strings, are that the player just combos the opponent, in ground or on air, while in the juggle, the player needs to combo the opponent into the air. Strings are most common with back aerials and neutral aerials, while juggling is most common with up aerials and up tilts.
