SSF2 Stamina

Stamina mode in Super Smash Flash 2.

Stamina is a Group game option in Super Smash Flash 2 and Fraymakers accessible from the Rules and Match Options menus, respectively. With Stamina turned on, each fighter possesses a set amount of hit points (HP) displayed on their damage meters, as opposed to a percentage. Hit points are depleted whenever the fighter takes damage, with the amount depleted being equivalent to what percentage damage would be dealt. The maximum and starting amount of HP for each fighter is selected from the Rules menu and ranges from 1 to 999 points, with 150 points being the default amount.

Stamina KO in SSF2

Samus being KO'd by reaching 0 HP from Rayman's attack.

Once a fighter reaches 0 HP, they are instantly KO'd, though fighters can still be KO'd upon crossing the blast lines. If there is time remaining or the defeated fighter has stocks remaining, they will vanish before reappearing on the revival platform. Otherwise, any defeated fighter will fall to the ground and remain motionless for the rest of the fight or until crossing a blast line.

With Stamina on, certain mechanics affected by the amount of damage a fighter has are altered for hit points instead. For instance, knockback is not affected by the amount of HP a fighter has, as fighters will always take as much knockback as they would with 0% damage. In SSF2, Pichu's Discharge state is activated upon depleting to one third of its total HP, and Lucario's aura reaches its maximum strength at 0 HP.
