Silver the Hedgehog (シルバー・ザ・ヘッジホッグ) is an anthropomorphic silver hedgehog in the Sonic franchise who first appeared in the critically panned Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). He appears as an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Flash 2.
Character description
Silver is a 14-year-old hedgehog who hails from at least 200 years in the future. His main role in the Sonic games is to protect the future by changing the problems in the past with the help from his psychokinesis, which is his set of psychic powers. He has the ability to time-travel, though this is implied to be done with the assistance of future technology.
In Super Smash Flash 2
Silver appears as an Assist Trophy that can be summoned in Super Smash Flash 2. When summoned, he flies into the air and yells "It's no use! Take this!" or "How about this?!" before using his psychokinetic powers to trap opponents in place, allowing his summoner to attack them repeatedly. However, the victims would have a small degree of control while this is going on. His psychokinesis effect lasts about eight seconds before his powers wear off and he disappears.

- Silver was originally meant to be a simple background character on Green Hill Zone, running across the loop in the background, much like he does in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This was likely changed due to the stage getting revamped, as well as him becoming an Assist Trophy.
