Shroomish, known in Japan as Kinococo (キノココ), is a grass-type Pokémon; it evolves into Breloom at level 23. In Super Smash Flash 2, Shroomish appears one of the multiple Pokémon that can be released from a Poké Ball to aid the player.

Pokémon description[]

Shroomish is a small, mushroom-type Pokémon. Its upper body is peach-colored with green spots and a small opening at the top. Its lower body has frilled segments that overlap its green underside, which is round and has small, round feet.

When it senses danger, it shakes its body and scatters toxic spores from the top of its head. These toxic spores can make trees and weeds wilt and cause whole body pain if inhaled. It lives in forests that are damp. It stays in the forest shade during the day, keeping still under fallen leaves. It eats composted soil in forests, which is made up of fallen, rotten leaves.

As stated above, Shroomish appears as one of the many Pokémon that can be released from a Poké Ball in Super Smash Flash 2. When released, Shroomish will remain static in the place it was released, should an opponent come very close to it will make Shroomish to let out a stream of Poison Powder in the proximity, thereby poisoning the opponent. Once Shroomish enters a fatigued state, it is a signal it will disappear.

Trivia[]

  • As seen in the gallery above, Shroomish originally had two attacks. There were chances it would use either Stun Spore or Poison Powder, per release.
    • The first one had Shroomish constantly emitting Stun Spore before disappearing, stunning opponents in the process. It had a shorter range and was by far its most common effect.
    • The latter, unlike the current variation, had Shroomish letting out Poison Powder just once before disappearing, without the need of having an opponent to come in the proximity. The dealt poison effect lasted considerably longer than the current variation and because of that, it was a rare occurrence for Shroomish to use this move.
