Sand Ocean is a stage in Super Smash Flash 2 and is the first F-Zero stage representation in the Super Smash Flash series.
Layout
The matches take place aboard the Falcon Flyer which flies across the track. If a player falls on the track, they might be left behind as high speed and be KO'd if they reach the left side of the stage. Occasionally, the Falcon Flyer will fly through a tunnel, at which point it becomes impossible to achieve Star and Screen KO's, as the ceiling will cause players to bounce back down.
Origin
Sand Ocean in F-Zero GX
Sand Ocean is a desolate planet whose entire surface is covered in sand dunes. This planet's extremely arid frontier planet was thought to have been completely void of human life for many years. However, in the track's bio in the Nintendo GameCube game, F-Zero GX, it is revealed that ruins of a 30,000 year-old civilization was found deep within the desert along with a monstrous alien life form by a fearless adventurer. This resulted in the planet becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations in the galaxy.
Music
The stage's BGM is a remix of Sand Ocean from the F-Zero games arranged by Tony Thai (a.k.a. midiman10).
