- This article is about the bonus level in Super Smash Flash. For the game mode in Super Smash Flash 2, see Race to the Finish (Super Smash Flash 2).
Race to the Finish, announced in-game as Race to the Finish!, is the sixth level of both Classic and Adventure in Super Smash Flash. The main objective is to traverse a long stage while avoiding obstacles to reach the end before time runs out.
Layout[]
There are two versions of the stage featured in Race to the Finish, each of which uses the same sprite set and music as Emerald Hill Zone. They are comprised of two large platforms divided by a massive gap, above which is numerous small floating platforms scattered around. The large platform on the far left marks the starting point, while the large platform on the far right contains the finishing platform that the player must reach to complete the level. Throughout the stage, there are also numerous Buzzers that fly toward the player and serve mostly to intercept them, though they can also be defeated from a single attack.
The version of the stage played during Classic is relatively short and follows a straight path. The version played during Adventure is more challenging, having a longer length, more Buzzers, and fewer platforms overall, and the path also follows a steep upward incline.
