Popolopoïs are minor background creatures in the Rayman series.
Character description[]
Popolopoïs are a species of butterfly characterized by the happy faces on their wing patterns. Most of them are yellow, blue, or orange in color. They primarily appear as background elements in Rayman 2: The Great Escape, where they can be seen flying around in various levels. They are officially named in Rayman M (Rayman Arena in North America), which features a racing mode in which players must run through the course while shooting as many Popolopoïs as they can, with each Popolopoï granting extra time when hit.

Popolopoïs, as they appear on Fairy Glade in Super Smash Flash 2.
In Super Smash Flash 2, Popolopoïs appear as background characters on Fairy Glade. Three Popolopoïs, two being yellow and one being blue, can be seen resting on the tree in the background and flapping their wings. Yellow Popolopoïs also appear behind the main stage, where they fly across the stage and occasionally perform loops in the air.
