Poltergust 5000 (オバキューム) is Luigi's Final Smash in Super Smash Flash 2.

Overview

When performed, Luigi takes out the Poltergust 5000 and uses it to create a large suction vortex where he points it. Opponents caught in the vortex are rapidly dealt hits of 1% damage each and pulled toward Luigi, and opponents that make contact with him are trapped inside the Poltergust 5000 and continue to take damage until being dealt 30% in total. He initially sucks in front of him before sweeping the Poltergust 5000 behind him and then in front of him again. Luigi will then shoot any trapped opponents diagonally upward, dealing 10% damage with strong knockback, ending the move. If Luigi fails to suck in any opponents, he will instead fall to the floor and the move will end.

Origin

The Poltergust 5000 is the vacuum Luigi uses for hunting ghosts in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. It was invented by Professor Elvin Gadd as an upgraded version of the Poltergust 3000 that was used in Luigi's Mansion. In addition to sucking ghosts up, the device also features a flashlight with a tool called the Strobulb that is used to stun ghosts, as well as an attachment called the Dark-Light Device that is used to see hidden objects. The Poltergust 5000 is Luigi's main weapon throughout the entire, and it gains upgrades as Luigi collects money.
