Pidgits are small black or purple flightless crows that act as the bringers of bad dreams, and soar through the skies atop Magic Carpets provided by Wart. Its name is a pun on pigeon.

Pidgits first appeared in the game Super Mario Bros. 2, where they were a common aerial enemy in Subcon. To attack, a Pidgit would attempt to fly into Mario or one of his friends. Thus, Mario should Jump on top of the Pidgit during its descent and throw it off the magic carpet. Mario can then ride the magic carpet for short distances. Often, Mario needs to use these magic carpets to reach otherwise inaccessible parts of certain levels.

Pidget appears on Mushroom Kingdom II.

Pidgit appears in Super Smash Flash 2 as a stage hazard in Mushroom Kingdom II. As he does in Super Smash Bros. Melee, he flies onto the stage from the side on a magic carpet that will carry players who happen to land on it.
