Orpheus is the sixty-sixth level of Yeah Jam Fury: U, Me, Everybody!. To access it, the player must clear fifty levels.

Overview[]

A-Side[]

This level consists of several small platforms of Steel Blocks with two Ice Blocks on either side. At the bottom of the level, there are four Yellow Blocks with Ice Blocks surrounding their left and right sides. The player starts on a small platform of Steel Blocks and must descend the platforms to the bottom of the level, where they can break the Yellow Blocks with Fury. They then must return to the top of the stage, which can be accomplished quickly by not landing on any Steel Blocks on the way down, and use Yeah to place the Yellow Blocks to reach the mango in the upper right corner.

B-Side[]

The B-Side version of this level shares a very similar layout, except not only is it flipped horizontally, but the Steel Block platforms now have only one Ice Block on either side, and there are now Ice Blocks below the Yellow Blocks. Additionally, the mango is now locked and can only be obtained with three Yellow Blocks in their quota. The player also can no longer refoot, and instead the level will restart if they fall.

To obtain the mango, the player now has to return to the top of the level without falling or using any Yellow Blocks on the way up. To do this, they must first use Fury to break the Yellow Blocks and then switch to another character to avoid breaking the Ice Blocks below. They then must use Jam to boost up the Steel Block platforms while also using Fury to break the Ice Blocks in the way. Upon returning to the starting area, they may place only one Yellow Block with Yeah to reach the mango with.

Trivia[]

  • This level is named after Orpheus, a character in Greek mythology. It is thus implied that this level is the successor to Eurydice, which itself is named after the wife of Orpheus.
    • Both levels share a similar theme in which the player traverses sets of Steel Blocks and Ice Blocks to retrieve a group of Yellow Blocks before returning to the starting area.
