Orcane is a creature of the water element who lives in Water Town, the merchant capital of Aether. His physical design is based mainly on that of an orca whale with the limbs and mannerisms of a dog-like quadruped. He is a playful trickster known to steal goods from the Water Trading Company and give them to underpaid workers, including his adoptive family of fishermen. Despite being considered a criminal by the merchants of the Water Trading Company, he is still hired by said merchants in order to solve problems stealthily, as a result of his ability to transform into water and infiltrate even the most secure strongholds.
As a fighter in Rivals of Aether, Orcane uses water-based abilities such as Puddle Teleportation to create and then teleport to a puddle on the ground and Bubble Evaporation to turn said puddle into a pillar of damaging bubbles, allowing for long, intricate combos and strong stage control. Many of his abilities are an "evolution" of those of Vaporeon in Super Smash Land, another platform-based fighting game created by Dan Fornace.
Orcane appears as a playable character in Fraymakers and is among the six characters initially revealed for the game. His moveset is based mainly on his original appearance in Rivals of Aether, in which he utilizes synergistic water-based techniques such as Puddle Teleportation and Bubble Evaporation for a tricky playstyle based around stage control.
