Naruto is a playable newcomer unlockablecharacter in Super Smash Flash. He is the only character representation of the Naruto universe and his sprites come from Naruto: Ninja Council on the Game Boy Advance. To the fans' dismay, he lacks any use of attacks involving jutsu or chakra like he uses in his franchise.
Naruto is ranked 5th on the current tier list, placing him in the S tier.
This section requires to be rewritten or expanded.
The information is not outdated nor incomplete, although it can be rewritten for a more formal explanation and better clarity. It may require an expansion going further on missing details.
Naruto is fast and has deceptive range and strong finishers, which allows him to overwhelm many opponents. However, Naruto has no conventional projectiles, which hinders his neutral game and gives him difficulty against characters like Tails or Mario. He is also fairly large, making him more vulnerable to attacks than other smaller characters. Additionally, whilst his damage range, and speed are above average, he still tends to be outclassed by fighters that specialize in each of those categories. Regardless, Naruto is still a strong character in the game, which places him high on the tier list.
Hard data[]
The table below refers to Naruto's hard data values.
Naruto throws a swinging punch, emitting a shockwave at the moment he swings his arm that extends directly forward. This attack produces the largest shockwave out of all Naruto's attacks. Strangely for a side attack, Naruto cannot skid forward with this move but is still able to manually move forward by holding down a movement input.
Naruto delivers a swing kick, emitting a shockwave at the moment his foot reaches the highest point that extends directly below Naruto. This attack is able to meteor smash opponents if timed correctly.
Trivia[]
Naruto is one of two characters to have a custom voice actor, the other being InuYasha (coincidentally, both are manga-originated characters and have unlockable status). His voice samples were provided specifically for the game by Kira Kagome Buckland, who also serves as the announcer for the game.
Though Naruto lacks attacks involving jutsus and chakras in SSF, he has them in the source game of his sprites, Naruto: Ninja Council. There, he is able to perform his signature move, Rasengan, use Shadow Clone jutsu and even access his three-tailed jinchūriki form.
