You also restored a good few of the dev articles. Nepotism for the win.
Most of the old special moves were deleted because old dojos tended to be very unreliable. Quite a bit of the stuff from the old dojos have been de-confirmed since in numerous dev posts, and outdated information isn't particularly useful to readers.
Also, please avoid typing in all caps. You can express much the same idea with considerably less accusatory language.
Hey, when we agree to delete all the SSF2 Beta related articles? Even if it doesn't cover the current status of the game, it's not an excuse to delete it. I might agree to "mark for deletion" the misconceptions articles only but not the early stuff that got into old revisions of DOJO!! and Demos. You will have to help me with the restoration of all of 'em, or convice me...
Moves that were once in the game, but have since been removed are essentially the same as SSF2 misconceptions to new players. Neither of them are in the game, neither of them serve any useful purpose other than to entertain readers. They are no longer in the game, so they no longer concern someone looking to find information on the game.
My above argument works on the assumption that people who come to the wiki just want to find information on the game. They just want to know how black mage's up special works, or what the hell Mega Man's side special does.
Also, we need an items navbox and better articles on advanced techniques. Currently, there's no easy way to reach every item article unless you go to the category page, and the button for that is tiny. And some people probably want to learn how to play the game better when they come here, so we need to cater to them too. I'll get to work on the navbox template, you go recruit people off the forum for the special move/AT guides.
Let me answer for him Ne0, don't show him you used a translator, no, I'm joking with that!
Anyway, beta so far is an important aspect in SSF2 development, indeed articles show something would never made it into the final game and they are rather short (that's why I insist with a Character description section), but are still part of SSF2, they also give somewaht uniqueness to the Wiki, even the SmashWiki has articles for unused files of the Smash games. I think we have a big work to do restoring them.
Could we not just have histories of the wiki kept in trivia sections? Features that aren't in the game anymore don't seem particularly notable, but they would make for great filler for a trivia section in articles.
Case in point: Naruto's old shurikens don't really need their own article now that they're not in the game, but a postscript at the bottom of the shadow clone toss article would be an entertaining incidental read.
Not the reason I wanted to hear, SSF2 Beta was to keep track on those removed things, some current articles already mention the replacement and that's good, but not how it worked. Still, SSF2 Beta must be restored. I let you delete SSF2 Devs [because you asked] but not SSF2 Beta [now you didn't ask for this].
Tiebreaker Ne0 and Byll. These articles need to be kept in the case of mcleod putting them in future games. For example: Mega Man X may be in consideration for Mcleod (he wanted him to replace Megaman remember?). This is also important for the the past of Mcleodgaming. (should Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels be erased from Nintendo just because it wasn't introduced in America?)
The best way to end this is too either make the restoration or keep them deleted (something I won't let to happen), so if you don't want to do the restoration is OK, keep doing your job as well as you've been doing, I will be in charge of the restoration alone but then don't interfere. I don't think we need to carry this into a votation. What we really should get rid off is the not so good SSF1 "art" that was done before.
I think that we better or you better make a hole page of only beta things wish shows beta characters, stages, moves, taunts, items, playable mode(s), etc. So you can eliminate the other pages of some beta things so the wiki seems better.
The misinterpreted information template shouldn't really be used for beta (if it is used for anything other than that) it makes the pages have a lower quality then they actually are. The template doesn't make it any better.
First of all, I got to say I'm glad that at least SOMEONE around here puts things as candidates of deletion instead of immediately deleting them with their adminship. Now, I agree we should delete that page, as it doesn't provide any useful information.
I suppose we could add content to that page, but is it really useful? I don't see why someone would want to read about which characters have brawlified sprites, and where their sprites came from. That kind of stuff could go in trivia sections, but a standalone article?
