Mega Man, known in Japan as Rockman (ロックマン), is the main protagonist of the classic Mega Man series, developed by Capcom. He is a robot that was originally created as a lab assistant by the scientist Dr. Thomas Xavier Light, but following treachery by Dr. Wily, he was converted into a fighting robot to defend the world from Wily's violent robotic threats. He appears as a playable character in Super Smash Flash 2.

Because it lacks arms or hands, Sandbag is the only character in Super Smash Flash 2 who cannot grab onto ledges at all. Despite this, it is still able to grab, pummel and throw opponents.
On December 31, 2010, on the eve for Super Smash Flash 2 Demov0.7's release, developerJamal Ransawannounced a reskin for the main McLeodGaming website, even showcasing the new buttons the site would have carried. This never came into fruition and no other word of this announcement was spoken ever again, not even after the site actually got reskinned in March 3, 2016.
A Super Mario World Episode 2 and the original Super Smash Flash remain the only works created by McLeodGaming alone (not counting the co-developed Yeah Jam Fury) that were awarded in the Flash portal website, Newgrounds. A Super Mario World Episode 2 received a "Daily 3rd Place" award while Super Smash Flash received the "Frontpaged" and "Daily Feature" awards.
