Super Smash Flash's tier lists have been elaborated by few collaborators of the Smash Flash Back Room since May 23, 2015. Updates are quite uncommon and only a few of them have been released. This is a list that keeps track of old tier list revision, including the current revision released.

This is the very first tier list (officially recognized) for the original SSF to be made after nine years following the game's original release, back in 2006. I corresponded as of May 23, 2015. Because SSF is competitively unplayable, the tier list was constructed under special measurements taking on count several attributes from all the characters such as air speed, jump height, projectiles, number of potential instakills, etc., rather than taking tournaments results and formulate a rank this way. The tier was created in a collaboration between MG user, CSWooly, and Back Room member, Dark Ermac. Because of that, the veracity of the tier list is placed on doubt.

This is the second tier list created for Super Smash Flash to be officially recognized, and it corresponds to December 23, 2015. Unlike the previous tier list, this was instead created by the CSFBR, a group who focus on datamining the game and providing matchups, as well as discovering exploits in the engine. The same factors were taken into consideration by the new people who made the tier list, who were Nathan Greenwood, Ironed Sandwich, and Skailler. Once again, the veracity of the tier list can be placed on doubt.

This is the third tier list created for Super Smash Flash 2. It was released on May 25, 2019 by Dark Ermac, one of the members who created the first tier list. Comparing to the previous tier list, Knuckles received a huge placement drop, mostly due to his perceived lack of range. Super Sonic and Sonic became farther away from each other in the list, due to Super Sonic's better roll attack and higher damage output. Luigi and Mario also got distanced in the list, with the two characters no longer being tied at positions 3/4. This was due to Luigi's Fireball, which can deal more hits, as well as combo into itself, due to its slower speed in comparison to Mario's.
