Likiji123, also known simply as Likiji, is a pixel artist that commonly works with McLeodGaming. He is a Super Smash Flash 2 developer and a Fraymakers collaborator.
History[]
Likiji123 joined the McLeodGaming community through the McLeodGaming Forums in 2015. There, he frequently posted pixel artwork, often mimicking the sprite styles of Super Smash Flash 2, which caught the attention of several developers.
Outside of McLeodGaming, Likiji123 is also an artist for the fan-made crossover fighting game Card Sagas Wars and the Super Smash Bros. modification Smash Remix.
Work with Super Smash Flash 2[]
Likiji123 joined the development team of SSF2 during the development of Beta, in which he would work as a sprite artist. He primarily works with creating character sprites and has also contributed to stage and item sprites. He has contributed to characters such as Yoshi, Waluigi, and Captain Falcon, and he was one of the main artists responsible for the resprite for Kirby in Beta 1.2.[1] In addition to artwork, Likiji123 has also worked as an editor for videos such as the Beta 1.3 announcement video.[2]
Work with Fraymakers[]
Although not a member of Team Fray, Likiji123 is a contracted pixel artist for Fraymakers. He commonly assists the team in creating sprites for characters such as Welltaro, Octodad, and Orcane from the initial drawings for the game's animations.
Trivia[]
- Playing on Nintendo 3DS in SSF2 with a player's name set to "Liki" selects the green coloration of the stage, which is exclusive to this method. This is a reference to the developer's favorite color.
