Lights Out is the thirtieth level of Yeah Jam Fury: U, Me, Everybody!. To access it, the player must clear ten levels.
Overview[]
This level features the titular "Light's Out" gimmick, in which the player can only see a small portion of the level at a time, as it is too dark to see outside a small radius surrounding the character. This also prevents the player from viewing the mango's location.
A-Side[]
This level takes place inside a large rectangular box of Steel Blocks. Various groups of Steel Blocks are placed throughout this area, with the player starting on a long platform near the left side of the box. Notably, there are long stretches of platforms across the middle of the area, several smaller platforms close to the top, and a wall to the right side extending from the middle to the top. There are also two openings on the box, with one in the upper right corner and the other in the lower right corner, and a path of separated Steel Blocks is placed underneath and to the left of the box. There are two Yellow Blocks, including one on the left side of the box and one on the top side, and the mango is located in the upper right corner.
To obtain the mango, the player must reach the Steel Blocks in the upper right corner of the box. One way to do this is by reaching the reaching the platforms near the top of the area. This can be done by dropping through the gap in the lower right corner and traversing the outside Steel Blocks to the gap in the upper right corner, and it can also be done by simply boosting up using the Steel Blocks on the right side. Once on the higher platforms, the player can break the Yellow Block on the top side with Fury, place it with Yeah, and boost off of it with Jam to reach the mango. Alternatively, the player may simply break the Yellow Block on the left side with Fury and place it high enough with Yeah that Jam can then use it to boost up to the height of the mango.
B-Side[]
The B-Side version of this level is very similar in design, except not only is it flipped horizontally, but the mango is now locked and can only be obtained with $2.00 acquired, which includes every coin in the level. Additionally, the mango is now located above the leftmost Steel Block outside the box, and the gap in the lower left corner is now filled with Steel Blocks. In the mango's previous place is fresh milk, and obtaining it will subtract $1.00 from the player's total, causing the mango to disappear and the level to restart. The player also can no longer refoot, and instead the level will restart if they fall.
To obtain the mango, the player first must obtain every coin in the level. There are 20 in total, 18 of which are inside the boxed area, including one near the Yellow Block on the right side, five along the Steel Blocks to the left of the starting flag, two on the left side of the wall in the middle of the area, five along the lower sets of Steel Blocks, one near the leftmost wall, and four along the Steel Blocks near the top. Outside this area, there are two coins on the Steel Blocks in the lower right corner of the level. The player must exit through the gap in the upper left corner of the boxed area and traverse the outside Steel Blocks to reach the mango.
