Isaac has become a playable character in Super Smash Flash 2 since the Beta version. He was revealed as a teaser during the McLeodGaming Direct on July 21, 2014. His sprite design is inspired by his appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but it is a whole new design as of 2021; which is inspired in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He has a custom voice provided by Darcy Maguire instead of using voice clips from his games, like other characters have. His moveset consists mostly of psynergy spells, with little sword-based attacks.

Ultimate. He shares this distinction with Chibi-Robo, Bomberman, Tails, Knuckles, Mega Man X, Zero, and Lloyd.
    • Isaac also appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as an Assist Trophy, making him one of seven characters in the SSF series to later appear as Assist Trophies in the official games. He shares this distinction with Waluigi, Krystal, Bomberman, Knuckles, Shadow, and Zero.
