Hyrule Castle (ハイラル城), previously named Hyrule Castle (64), is an unlockable stage in Super Smash Flash 2 coming from The Legend of Zelda universe.

Layout

Hyrule Castle is an uneven stage consisting of a long center area, a steep cliff to the right with a tower that can be hid in and stood on top of, and a slope to the left. Three high platforms are above the center, aligned to the main tower in the back.

In Super Smash Bros., the hazard was a tornado that periodically swept across the stage. However, as of this writing, it is missing from Super Smash Flash 2.

Music

  • The main music track is Zelda Main Theme, an upbeat remix of the overworld theme of The Legend of Zelda.
  • The alternate music track is Song of Ocarina, a dramatic orchestral medley of three remixed songs from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of TimeSong of Storms, Hyrule Field, and Saria's Song.

Hyrule Castle as it appears in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Hyrule Castle is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series. Here, however, it is specifically based on its appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

As its name implies, it is home to the Hylian royal family, including Princess Zelda. In Ocarina of Time, Young Link had to get into it to meet up with Zelda, and later in the adult timeline, it was corrupted into Ganondorf's headquarters.
