Stage hazard
No hazard
Bomb Factory with its hazards enabled (left) and the same stage with its hazards disabled with the hazard switch (right).

The hazard switch, formerly called the feature switch, is a feature in Super Smash Flash 2 which allows players to switch off stage hazards and other stage changes. This was added mainly for tournaments, so that competitive players could play on a wider variety of stages—both neutral and counterpick. It should be noted, however, that despite the hazard switch, some stages are still banned in tournaments, as their layouts, rather than hazards, may damage competitive play.

The hazard switch can be toggled on and off at the bottom of the options menu or directly on the stage select for more convenient constant switching.
