Happy Birthday is the one hundredth level and final A-Side level of Yeah Jam Fury: U, Me, Everybody!. To access it, the player must clear seventy levels.
Overview[]
This level is unique among every other level in the game in that it features a unique theme: Winter Storm. The mango is located near the starting point, and upon approaching it or reaching a certain distance away from it, Ms. Carrot appears and flings the mango to a new location near the upper right corner of the level. She then hops onto Mr. Snowman, who emerges from the left side of the level and roars before beginning to pursue the player.
Mr. Snowman slowly chases the player as they traverse to the right. He destroys all blocks he makes contact with, including the normally indestructible Steel Blocks. Upon making contact with the player, he pushes them in the opposite direction. He occasionally swats an arm in front of him, which destroys a large area of blocks and launches the player away. He also often fires a series a sticks in various directions, which pushes the player away and destroys blocks on contact. He also roars, which destroys nearby Yellow Blocks.
Ms. Carrot periodically throws up to three snowballs toward the player at a time, which momentarily freeze the player on contact. Less commonly, she will get angry and jump off of Mr. Snowman to pursue the player herself. Upon making contact with the player, they will be momentarily frozen as she returns to Mr. Snowman. If she fails to reach the player, she will simply return to Mr. Snowman. The player can also punch her using Fury, which launches her into Mr. Snowman's face and stops them in place for a few seconds. Up to one time per level playthrough, she may also jump off of Mr. Snowman and open the settings menu to mute the VFX settings.
The level is divided into multiple sections, each of which has an All Flag at the start. Each section at the bottom of the level is separated by large walls of Ice Blocks that must be broken through with Fury. Upon reaching an All Flag, Mr. Snowman rushes forward to catch up with the player. Upon reaching the right side of the level, the two disappear briefly and then reappear to chase the player upward. If the player falls after Mr. Snowman destroys the Steel Block that stored their checkpoint, all blocks in that section will reappear and the player will refoot at the most recent All Flag they passed with the same quota they previously reached it with.
A-Side[]
The player starts at the first section of the level with eight Yellow Blocks in their quota. They start at a platform of Steel Blocks at the left side of the level. To the right, there is a set of Steel Blocks forming a staircase with three other platforms spread over gaps. The two leftmost gaps have Ice Blocks at the bottom and a Yellow Block above, with the rightmost gap having two Yellow Blocks above. The mango is located on the left side, and approaching the mango or the right side of this section will summon Ms. Carrot and Mr. Snowman.
The second section to the right has a long platform of Steel Blocks at the bottom with two small platforms of Steel Blocks and three small platforms of Ice Blocks above it. To the right of the bottom platform is a wall of Steel Blocks and Ice Blocks, which the player must reach the top of to advance to the next section. The third section starts with a platform of Steel Blocks and has a large gap with two walls of Ice Blocks and Yellow Blocks that must be broken through with Fury. The leftmost wall has a platform of Steel Blocks at the bottom and a platform of Ice Blocks on either side, and the rightmost wall has a single Steel Block to the left and an Ice Block to the right. The player must use Yeah to place Yellow Blocks or Jam to boost across them to reach a set of Steel Blocks at the right side of the section.
The fourth section has a boxed area of alternating Steel Blocks and Ice Blocks with a wall extending up from the bottom. There are openings in the two lower corners, and player must use Jam to boost across the two left walls to reach the top and then descend down the platforms of Steel Blocks to reach the right side. The fifth section has a similar boxed area, except the wall are spread apart much more, with the middle wall having only Steel Blocks and the left wall having Ice Blocks at the bottom. The openings on the right side have are filled with Ice Blocks and there are no platforms below. The player must use Yeah to place Yellow Blocks to reach the top and to land on at the right side after breaking through the Ice Blocks with Fury.
The sixth section has a much larger boxed area with an opening in the the two lower corners, each of which has a large wall of Steel Blocks to the side and Ice Blocks filling the areas above. Between these openings, there is a large gap with several large columns of Steel Blocks and Ice Blocks floating above it, as well as smaller columns extending from the top, and a set of ten Ice Blocks on the right side. The player must use Yeah to place Yellow Blocks or Jam to boost across the Steel Blocks to traverse to the opening on the right side while using Fury to break through any Ice Blocks in the way. Upon reaching the next All Flag in the seventh section, Ms. Carrot and Mr. Snowman momentarily disappear. The seventh section has a tall boxed area of Steel Block platforms with openings alternating between the left and right side, and the two lowest Steel Blocks have many Yellow Blocks that can be broken with Fury. The player must ascend to the top of this area using Jam to boost from the walls.
Upon traversing high enough in the seventh section, Ms. Carrot and Mr. Snowman reappear and begin chasing the player upward. The eighth section starts at the top of the seventh section and consists of three boxed areas with Steel Blocks as walls and Ice Blocks as platforms, with one wall extending further and allowing the player to reach them by boosting with Jam. The highest of these areas is very tall and contains three alternating walls of Steel Blocks, and the player must use Yeah to place Yellow Blocks to reach the top. The ninth section starts with a large platform of Steel Blocks and has several smaller sets of Steel Blocks above it, many of which have an Ice Block on top, that can be boosted across with Jam. The highest platform of Steel Blocks has Ice Blocks on the right side, and the player must use Yeah to reach the top of it.
The tenth section starts on this platform and has three rows of thirteen Yellow Blocks each above it. The player must ascend them to reach four rows of Ice Blocks, of which the lowest two have a Steel Block below them. In the eleventh section, there is a set of eight Steel Blocks spaced far apart from each other and spanning a large height, and the player must either place Yellow Blocks with Yeah or boost across them with Jam to ascend them. The twelfth section starts at another Steel Block and has several Steel Blocks and Ice Blocks spaced directly above it, four of which have Ice Blocks to the side of their gaps and one of which has a Yellow Block to the left. The player must ascend these using Yeah to place Yellow Blocks, and if they run out then they may use Fury to fall through their placed Yellow Blocks and refoot at the last Steel Block stood on. Upon reaching the top, the player will be able to reach the mango on the highest Steel Block.
B-Side[]
The B-Side version of this level shares a very similar layout, except Ms. Carrot and Mr. Snowman are now more aggressive. Ms. Carrot's snowballs now travel faster and farther, and Mr. Snowman now stops less often and fires more sticks at once. Additionally, the player now starts with only two Yellow Blocks in their quota.
The layout itself has also changed in certain sections. In the fifth section, the Ice Blocks between the openings on the right side are now Yellow Blocks. In the sixth section, the leftmost column of Ice Blocks and the set of Ice Blocks covering the opening to the right are now Yellow Blocks. In the seventh section, the upper set of Yellow Blocks is removed. In the eighth section, the boxed areas are closer together and lack the extended walls, and the tallest area lacks the third Steel Block wall. In the tenth section, the middle row of Yellow Blocks is removed. The twelfth section no longer has an All Flag, now being part of the eleventh section, and the Yellow Block near the top is further away from the Steel Blocks.
