Gangplank Galleon is a stage in Super Smash Flash 2. It is based on the location from both Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.
Layout
This stage is a big platform with poles that you can stand on. Sometimes, a boat with two Kremlings fire cannonballs that fall onto the ship and damage players, dealing 17% to anyone who gets hit by the cannonballs. In the background, the Scurvy Crew from Donkey Kong Country Returns appear frequently on small islands. They have no effect on the battle occurring on the Kremling's boat.
Music
The music is a medley of Snakey Chantey and Bonus Stage from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong's Quest.
In demo 0.8a and 0.8b, it was a remix of Gangplank Galleon.
Origins
Gangplank Galleon is King K. Rool's ship. In Donkey Kong Country, the ship is the stage containing the final boss of the game where Donkey Kong and Diddy encounter K. Rool. Appearing again in Donkey Kong Country 2, Gangplank Galleon served as a world in the game and contained 5 levels. The ship also made major appearances in both Donkey Kong Land I and II.
