Fox McCloud (フォックス・マクラウド) is the main protagonist of Nintendo's series of 3D Shooters Star Fox, and is the leader of the Star Fox team. The only son of the late James McCloud, Fox is a professional pilot, combatant, adventurer and leader. He leads his father's legacy by continuing his team and leading the next generation of Star Fox to fight against any threats in the Lylat System for uphold justice. He is a playable character in the Super Smash Flash series.
Character description
Fox McCloud is the leader of the Star Fox team. Prior to the Star Fox series, his father, James McCloud who was the previous leader of Star Fox was shot down by Pigma in Venom and turned over to Andross where he was never seen again. Years later, after being trained by Peppy Hare, Fox became the new leader of Star Fox and fought Andross's army across the Lylat System from Corneria to Venom where he destroyed Andross.

Fox is a starter character in Super Smash Flash. Most of his attacks are special moves from the Super Smash Bros. games, unlike many of the other characters who use punches and kicks.

Fox returns in Super Smash Flash 2 and is once again a starter character. His sprite design, moveset and voice clips are from his appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
