Forward smash

A forward smash, also known as an f-smash or side smash, is a ground attack in Super Smash Flash 2 that is performed by pressing left or right and then the attack input immediately afterward or simultaneously. It can also be performed by pressing left or right with the "C-Stick" controls while grounded.

Forward smashes are generally strong outward strikes that attack directly in front of the character. Like with other smash attacks, they can be charged by holding the attack input to increase the damage and knockback they deal. They are often long-ranged and the most powerful of a character's smash attacks at the cost of being the slowest, and they are most often used as combo finishers or horizontal KO moves.

Battering items have their own forward smash when held, with the Home-Run Bat having a unique forward smash that one-hit KOs opponents and cannot be charged. Attempting to forward smash while holding a throwing item throws it a large distance forward, and doing so while holding a shooting item fires it.
