Bowser scratching forward with Flying Slam.
|Effect||Bowser or Giga Bowser swipes forward to grab nearby opponents and perform a flying suplex on them.|
When using the move, Bowser performs a quick swipe forward with his claw. Depending on the distance, Bowser may simply scratch the opponent if they are located far away from him, launching the opponent with moderate vertical knockback and dealing 7% damage. On the other hand, if the swipe is performed when the opponent is close to Bowser, he will instead grab them and leap into the air to perform a flying suplex that can be controlled slightly in whatever direction is desired. When Bowser lands, he quickly deals 7% damage on the opponent and at the time they get launched horizontally, they receive another 7%, leading to a total of 14% of damage, as well as strong forward knockback. Additionally, if another opponent is in the way of Bowser as he plummets to the ground, they will be also dealt 7% damage with weak knockback.
If the move is directed off-stage as Bowser carries the opponent through the air, it can be used to perform a sacrificial KO (commonly known as "Bowsercide"). In the case where both players have one stock remaining, Bowser will win the match assuming he has less damage and port priority. If he has port priority and equal damage, Sudden Death will occur. If he has more damage or lacks port priority, the opponent will win the match instead.
- The way Bowser scratches the opponent at a distance is similar to his side special move from Super Smash Bros. Melee, Koopa Klaw (かみつき), but without being able to bite opponents when used up close.
