Firewall Tornado was originally Fire Mario's down special move. As of v0.9b of the SSF2 Demo, Mario's Final Smash has been replaced with Mario Finale, removing Fire Mario and taking Firewall Tornado with it.

Overview[]

When performed, the move would work similarly to Mario Tornado: Fire Mario would engulf both arms with fire and spin around rapidly for a short time. While spinning, opponents could be hit up to four times, with each hit dealing 1% damage and weak inward knockback to keep them "trapped" in the move. Afterwards, he would jump up and throw both arms upwards with fire on each hand, dealing 7% damage and moderate upward knockback to knock away trapped opponents.

Trivia[]

  • Prior to v0.5a, Fire Mario's down special move was instead Fire Mario Eruption. It was changed to Firewall Tornado with the introduction of ItsameSMB's updated Fire Mario sprite sheet.
  • As seen above, prior to v0.9a, Luma would appear at the end of the move, much like it would at the end of Mario Tornado.
  • Prior to v0.9a, Firewall Tornado would slow Fire Mario's descent in the air, but this was changed to match similar changes made with Mario Tornado.
