Fireball (ファイアボール, Faiabōru) is Mario and Luigi's standard attack in Super Smash Flash and Mario's standard special move in Super Smash Flash 2. Mario or Luigi release a fireball from their hands. The fireballs are common projectiles in the Mario series that can be used when Mario or Luigi receive a Fire Flower. In the original Super Smash Flash, neither Mario nor Luigi's fireballs were affected by gravity; in Super Smash Flash 2, however, Mario's is affected by gravity. It should be noted that in the original Super Mario Bros., Mario's Fireball would continue to bounce forward until it hit an enemy, or a wall. Each fireball does 5% to the opponent. In SSF2, the fireball will soon wear out should it not hit anything.
