Final Valley, also known as Valley of the End (終末の谷), is an unlockable stage in Super Smash Flash 2 hailing from the Naruto franchise.

Layout[]

Final Valley consists of two large main platforms with a large gap between them, in which there are two smaller hard platforms with tall, slanted walls, with the rightmost platform being slightly lower. The time of day this stage takes place in is randomly selected at the start of a match, with there being a 50% chance to be during the day and a 50% chance to be during the night. The nighttime variant itself has a 50% chance to be rainy.

Music[]

  • The main music track is Reverse Situation (Spin and Burst), a rock remix of the theme that plays during some intense fights in Naruto Shippūden (from Boruto: Naruto the Movie).
  • One of the alternate music tracks is Size of the Moon, an upbeat remix of the fourteenth opening theme of Naruto Shippūden.

Tournament Legality[]

This stage is banned in competitive play. The stage has pits that promote camping and give advantages to characters like Falco, while also being huge both horizontally and vertically, making KOing significantly hard.

Origin[]

Final Valley (origin)

The Final Valley in the anime Naruto.

The Valley of the End, known as the Final Valley in English translations, is a major location in the Naruto franchise. It is a large valley that rests near the border of the Land of Fire, where Konohagakure resides, and the Land of Sound, where the rogue ninja Orochimaru operates. It was carved out prior to the events of the franchise during a battle between Hashirama Senju, the leader of the Senju Clan and First Hokage of Konohagakure, and Madara Uchiha, the fallen Uchiha Clan leader who had intended to destroy Konohagakure. The battle ended with Hashirama's victory, and the resulting waterfall would serve as a border between the two nations, with giant statues of Hashirama and Madara being carved on opposite sides. It later serves as the site of a battle between Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha during Part I of the storyline, as well as a rematch during Part II, which ultimate destroys the valley.

The stage in SSF2 is based on the valley's appearance throughout anime adaptations of Naruto. The daytime variant of the stage is based on the setting of Naruto and Sasuke's first fight in the original Naruto anime, whereas the rainy nighttime variant is based on the setting of their rematch in Naruto Shippūden.
