You're Too Slow is event #9 in Super Smash Flash 2.
Overview[]
Playing as Black Mage, the player faces three Sonics on Green Hill Zone with a time limit of 0:30. The player is unable to attack the opponent with most moves, and each opponent runs back and forth across the stage instead of attacking. To complete the event, the player must use Black Mage's neutral special move, Stop, to paralyze all three of the opponents. Once an opponent is paralyzed, they will remain that way throughout the event, so the player is able to paralyze each opponent individually. The player has 1 stock, and each opponent cannot be KO'd.

- This event is named after the phrase Sonic says when using his side taunt in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as well as in SSF2.
- Once paralyzed with Stop, Black Mage will be able to grab and throw an opponent, but it will not deal damage or knockback and the opponent will no longer be paralyzed.
- Due to the 0:30 time limit of this event, it is impossible to score lower than a D ranking without failing the event.
- The preview image of this event was changed in Beta 1.2.4 due to Black Mage receiving new sprites.
