Chomp, known in Japan as Wario Bite (ワリオかみつき), is Wario's and Wario-Man's neutral special move in Super Smash Flash 2.

Overview[]

When performed, Wario opens his jaws wide and leans forward, trying to bite someone. If Wario catches someone, he will trap the opponent in his mouth to chew them when the special move button is pressed, which can be done up to two times, and deal 2% damage to the opponent each time. He'll spit the opponent out forwards or backwards, depending on what direction is pressed, before spitting them out and dealing 6% to the opponent. Wario will bite at the end of the move if he does not grab any opponents in time, which will deal 10% damage and good knockback to opponents bitten.

Origin[]

The move is very loosely inspired by the microgame Hot Dog Hog from WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! where Wario has to finish chomping on a long hotdog to win the game.

Trivia[]

  • When Kirby uses the move after copying it from Wario, he uses Wario's voice clip in addition to his own.
  • Prior to v0.8a of the demo, Wario's neutral special move was instead Wario Bike. It was changed to Chomp, matching his official Super Smash Bros. moveset.
