Home-Run Contest

The mode in Stadium.

The Home-Run Contest (ホームランコンテスト) is a minigame in Super Smash Flash 2 in which players must knock a defenseless Sandbag as far away as possible on the endless Home-Run Stadium. A Home-Run Bat is provided on the left of the main platform, and players have 10 seconds to rack up damage on Sandbag before having to launch it.

There are two options available: Barrier, in which Sandbag can be hit as hard as possible without leaving the platform due to a force-field surrounding the platform that will disappear after the timer runs out or when the player hits Sandbag with the Home-Run Bat, like in Super Smash Bros. Brawl; and No Barrier, in which Sandbag can be sent off the platform at any time, like in Super Smash Bros. Melee. High scores are recorded separately for both options.

Trivia[]

  • By default, distances are recorded using feet, as it is in the North American version of the Super Smash Bros. titles. However, pressing Ctrl + M on the character select screen will convert them to meters as it is in the PAL and Japanese versions. Pressing it again will change it back.
  • The measurements begin before the platform ends. The very edge of the platform measures at 2.4 feet.
