The Gooey Bomb can be thrown and, if it comes in contact with a surface or an opponent, the Gooey Bomb will stick itself to it, and, after some time, will explode dealing 27% of damage to opponents, capable of KO'ing at mere 50%. If any player attacks the bomb, it will, like all other bombs, explode immediately. Unlike in the Super Smash Bros. series, characters with a stickied Gooey Bomb cannot pass it to other characters by running through them, so it only remains to shield or dodge with precise timing to avoid the explosion. It is possible to start a chain reaction of explosions when two or more Gooey Bombs are attached to one character.
