Electrode, known in Japan as Marumine (マルマイン) is an Electric-type Pokémon. It evolves from Voltorb starting at level 30. In Super Smash Flash 2, Electrode appears as one of the multiple Pokémon that can be released from a Poké Ball to aid the player.

Pokémon description[]

Electrode is a round Pokémon resembling a reverse-colored Poké Ball with a mouth and eyes. Its top half is white, while its lower half is red. For this reason, many Trainers try to pick it up, mistaking it for an item. The Pocket Monsters Carddass Trading Cards depict Electrode as hollow. Many know it by the nickname "Bomb Ball".

Electrode tends to live in power plants where fresh electricity is being generated, which it consumes. As a result, it often causes blackouts. The more electric energy Electrode consumes, the faster it moves. Electrode often explodes in response to even the smallest stimulation, simply to entertain itself, or because it has taken in too much electricity. When full of stored electricity, it has been known to drift with the wind.

In Super Smash Flash 2[]

As stated above, Electrode is a Pokémon that can be released from a Poké Ball. Once it is released, Electrode will use the move Explosion that does massive damage and deals normal knockback. Sometimes, Electrode will fail to use it and do nothing.

Trivia[]

  • The Smash Flash DOJO!!! erroneously states Electrode uses Self-Destruct (stylized as Self destruct). Because this Pokémon is borrowed from the official Super Smash Bros. games, the correct move would be Explosion.
