Effect Meta Knight spins forward like a drill with his sword out and attacks opponents in his way.

Drill Rush (ドリルラッシュ) is Meta Knight's side special move in Super Smash Flash 2.

When performed, Meta Knight leaps forward with his Galaxia extended and spins sideways like a drill. As he spins, he travels slowly forward, and his path can be angled upward or downward. The blade can slash opponents multiple times, with the first hit dealing 2% damage, the following hits dealing 1% damage each, and the final hit dealing 6% damage for a total of 16% if all hits connect. The first hits deal little knockback to keep opponents continuously attacked, and the final hit knocks them away. At the end of the move, Meta Knight jumps a small distance back.

Offensively, the move is useful for racking up damage on opponents, though it is also easily punished due to its fair amount of ending lag and the fact that the move cannot be cancelled. It is also an effective horizontal recovery move, but it also leaves Meta Knight helpless at the end when used in the air. The jump at the end of the move is also useful for getting back onto the stage if the move is used or ended near a ledge.

Drill Rush Origin

Kirby using Drill Rush in Kirby & The Amazing Mirror.

Drill Rush originates from Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, where it is available to Kirby as the Dash-B attack of the Master ability, the ultimate Copy Ability of the game which is granted by Galaxia. It also somewhat resembles the barrel roll he does for a Quick Spin attack in Kirby Air Ride.
