This article is about Dream Land as it appeared in Super Smash Flash. For the Super Smash Flash 2 incarnation, see Dream Land (Super Smash Flash 2).

Dream Land (プププランド) is a starter stage in Super Smash Flash loosely based on the Kirby-themed stage of the same name from original Super Smash Bros..

Layout

The stage's form is similar to other stages like the Super Smash Bros. series recurring stage, Battlefield and Super Smash Bros. Melee's Fountain of Dreams where it has three platforms floating over a main one. Whispy Woods lies in the background, always with an angry looking expression. Unlike its official brethren, Whispy Woods does not blow air to push fighters around, so he is merely a background character. Other eye-catch elements like the flying Bronto Burt and King Dedede are also absent.

Music

  • The music track is titled Green Greens from the Smashing.. Live! arrangement of Super Smash Bros. Melee's soundtrack.

Origin

Kirbys Dream Land GBC

Kirby battling Whispy Woods in Kirby's Dream Land.

As stated above, Dream Land is the generic term used for Kirby's homeland, paralleling Mario's Mushroom Kingdom or Link's Hyrule. Whispy Woods is a common boss, and was the first boss of the entire Kirby series. A wind attack is used by Whispy Woods in the Kirby series; however, this was not in Super Smash Flash due to there being no hazards in SSF. The design of Whispy Woods is possibly based on his second phase in Kirby's Dream Land 3.
