Diogenes is a silent, muscular man with the lower half of his body housed inside a black metal cauldron. He is named after the ancient Greek philosopher Diogenes, who would often sleep in a pot in the marketplace of Athens as a protest against Greek society. He wields an oversized Yosemite hammer that he uses to scale anything in his path by climbing or hurling himself, with the cauldron being used to protect his fall. The mountain he scales in Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy consists of rocks, buildings, and other miscellaneous obstacles grouped together, with many areas making it easy for him to fall down and lose significant progress. His journey up the mountain is a philosophical one in which his perseverance and will to reach the top of the mountain overcome the frustration he experiences doing so.
Diogenes is one of the Assist characters in Fraymakers. When called upon, he uses his Yosemite hammer to hurl himself a short distance forward, traveling across the length of the stage. Opponents that make contact with him as he moves are dealt powerful knockback.
