When performed, Ganondorf turns into Ganon, a gigantic beast resembling a fearsome boar, emitting dark magic and dealing 5% damage to opponents nearby, paralyzing them. He stomps and roars, dealing 10% damage and burying or meteor smashing opponents hit by his front legs. Ganon then dashes across the stage at a high speed, dealing 40% damage with strong knockback to opponents hit. The move, if the charge hits, has strong potential to one-hit KO opponents. Once Ganon leaves the stage, Ganondorf returns to his normal form and descends back to his original position, ending the move.
Ganon is Ganondorf's original beast form, which generally takes the appearance of a massive boar-like beast. It first appeared in the original The Legend of Zelda game and has appeared in nearly every other game in the series, often as the final boss Link must face. Like with Ganondorf, Ganon's design in SSF2 is based on his appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, in which he is a four-legged beast whose only attack is to charge forward into Link. This charge can be stopped using either an arrow or Midna to flip him over, revealing a glowing wound on his chest that acts as a weak point to be attacked; however, this wound is not present in SSF2.
