CommanderVideo is the main protagonist and mascot of the BIT.TRIP series of games, and he appears as a playable character in Fraymakers.
Character description[]
CommanderVideo is an alien life form of unknown origin. Each of the six games in the original BIT.TRIP saga shows a different development of his life and growth, including being born in BIT.TRIP BEAT, gaining emotions and ego in BIT.TRIP CORE, and learning kindness in BIT.TRIP VOID. After fulfilling his self-discovery, he explores the world to make new friends in BIT.TRIP RUNNER, but after failing to befriend the evil Timbletot, his loss of rationale leads to his death in BIT.TRIP FATE. In BIT.TRIP FLUX, CommanderVideo reflects on his past life and learns to accept his death, moving on from life and ending his BIT.TRIP.
CommanderVideo's physical appearance is very simplistic, made to resemble the sprite designs used in the first and second generations of video game consoles. He originally featured a purely sprite-based design in which he was a black rectangle with thin black arms and legs and a white visor. However, starting in BIT.TRIP Presents... Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, he was redesigned with a fully three-dimensional appearance consisting of a black cylinder with more refined arms and legs, a sunken white visor, athletic wristbands, and sneakers.
