MG emblem

The M Fist logo is used as the avatar for Cleod-9.

Cleod-9 is the name of the official Newgrounds account of McLeodGaming used by Gregory Cleod9 McLeod himself, as the name implies. In this account, he uploads some of the games, movies, music and news that are hosted in McLeodGaming. Though not a very popular account, it is notable for being one of the few major places where several McLeodGaming games and cartoons are officially showcased, such as A Super Mario World, Super Smash Flash, and Yeah Jam Fury. Currently, four awards have been received: a Daily 3rd Place award for A Super Mario World Episode 2, a Daily Weekly award for Super Smash Flash, a Daily 5th Place for Yeah Jam Fury, and a Daily 3rd Place for the Yeah Jam Fury: U, Me, Everybody! Demo.

List of submissions

Among the content that can be found on Cleod-9 are ten Flash submissions, including seven movies and three games. In addition, all 42 musical compositions of McLeodGaming can be heard.

2009 Orchestration Contest

On July 15, 2009, Cleod-9 entered the 2009 Orchestration Contest with the musical composition The Perfect Battle. The contest lasted one month and the results were shown in August 19, 2009, with Cleod-9 ending in the 10th place of said contest. The winner was a user known as Robomanus.

Future

Although most major McLeodGaming news continues to be uploaded to Newgrounds as well, it is unknown whether Gregory McLeod still plans to upload games to the website in the future. However, due to the fact that Adobe Flash is limiting and will end support in 2020, as well as the recent turn to commercial video games like Yeah Jam Fury: U, Me, Everybody!, it is more likely that McLeodGaming will seek other engines and platforms to publish games with. It was also originally thought that Super Smash Flash 2 would be hosted on Newgrounds after finishing development, but recent efforts to host the game exclusively on McLeodGaming's own website put this into question.
