Back aerial

Isaac using his back aerial.

A back aerial, also known as a back air and commonly abbreviated as a b-air, is an aerial attack in Super Smash Flash 2 or Fraymakers that is performed by pressing attack input and the direction opposite to which the character is facing in conjunction while in midair. It can also be performed in SSF2 by pressing the opposite-facing direction with the "C-Stick" controls in midair or in Fraymakers by pressing the opposite-facing direction with the "secondary stick" controls in midair when assigned to tilt attacks or strong attacks.

Back aerials typically hit directly behind the character and are often a character's most powerful aerial attack, dealing high damage and knockback, though some suffer from relatively high lag or poor range as a result. This makes them useful as KO tools, and they are also used for approaching through the reverse aerial rush technique.

In SSF2, attempting to back aerial while holding a throwing item throws it a large distance behind the character and turns them around.
