CLEODBOT, also stylized as C L E O D – B O T and Cleodbot, is a gag character that was used in promotional materials for Super Smash Flash 2. He is a robot-like entity bearing the likeness of Gregory McLeod who first appeared in Super Smash Flash 2 Dev Blog #5, during Sandbag's reveal. He is said to have been created by the Super Smash Flash 2 developers as an assistant and, after growing tired of serving the developers, has possessed Sandbag as a host in a bid for revenge on them.
Though the character was officially retired with the release of Beta, as the developers felt that the joke had run its course, CLEODBOT himself still makes occasional cameos, mostly as small easter eggs.

CLEODBOT is occasionally referenced in SSF2 as an easter egg. For example, the description for event #51: ????? references his style of typing.
CLEODBOT also appears as a background character on the Waiting Room's Halloween theme, one of multiple holiday-inspired versions of the stage. He can be seen on the television screens in the corners for a very brief moment as they transition from a spooky face to the SSF2 logo.

Trivia[]
- CLEODBOT was initially thought to have a chance of appearing on the rare orange or green variations of the Nintendo 3DS stage due to developer Jamal Ransaw saying such. However, an examination of the game's files revealed that this was a joke.
- CLEODBOT is currently the only character in SSF2 to originate from McLeodGaming.
